On offer here we have this Bucherer Vintage Pocket Watch, c. 1950.
"Bucherer is a Swiss company founded in 1888 in Lucerne. The brand is known for its luxury watches.
This is a rare example of a pocket watch by this company. It is in superb condition and has a very unusual dial. Our internet research indicates this is very likely circa 1950 or so. We’re not experts, so we welcome any further info!
Gold coloured metal open face case, which has a snap on back and bezel. The case is stamped Bucherer. The case has carved sides and a carved bow. The back of the case is decorated with engine turning and has a crest with "J & M" engraved within.
The silvered dial has raised gilt numbers and gilt hands. The dial is decorated with a harlequin pattern with alternating lozenges engraved or plain. When held to the light, the dial catches the light and creates a stunning three dimensional effect.
The watch measures 49mm wide x 9mm deep, weight with chain is 99.30 grams.
